The Chairman of the Board of Taxation, Mr Chris Jordan AO, today announced that the Board is inviting written submissions to assist it in developing its advice to the Treasury on the establishment of a Tax Studies Institute (TSI).
The Deputy Prime Minister and the Treasurer, the Hon Wayne Swan MP, announced on 5 October 2011 that the Government will provide seed funding of $1 million per year (for three years) to establish a TSI. The Treasury has asked the Board to provide advice on desirable ways forward in relation to the design and establishment of the TSI.
